Requirements (CANoe) for Working with DoIP
All DoIP-specific CAPL functions and the corresponding Node-Layer-DLL „DoIP.dll“ are available in standard CANoe. They permit to develop CAPL simulation nodes for DoIP.
Please refer to “DoIP_” in CANoe’s Online Help index to get an overview of all DoIP related CAPL functions that are available.
CANoe can also be used as a DoIP tester. As long as the Ethernet based DoIP communication is working properly and no low-Level-Communication problems (Firewall problems…) exist, CANoe without any specific IP-Option might be sufficient. Please note that in this case, you will only be able to see the requests and responses on diagnostics level (UDS) in trace window.
If you need to analyze the DoIP diagnostic requests and responses on DoIP or Ethernet level, this is possible with the separately available CANoe.Ethernet option. Only with this option, the trace window will show the Ethernet based communication and its interpretation on DoIP level, like indicated below.
The CANoe installation contains a set of demonstration examples in order to help you exploring CANoe’s DoIP functionality with CANoe as a simulation node, a DoIP/CAN Gateway or a diagnostic tester:
