How to Build a 64-Bit MATLAB Simulink DLL
Starting from CANape 17 x64, it is no more possible to use 32-bit MATLAB/Simulink DLLs. The following error occurs, if 32-bit DLL is loaded into CANape 17 x64:
Every MATLAB/Simulink DLL in CANape 17 x64 should have 64-bit format. 64-bit DLLs can be build in Matlab with Vector MATLAB/Simulink MC add-on since version 13.0.60. To generate a 64-bit DLL for CANape 17 x64, configure your Simulink model in Simulink under Configuration Parameters | Code Generation | CANape Code Generation and select 64-bit as the CANape platform.
After building the DLL you will receive a DLL with “_64” Suffix: Modelname_x64.dll.
The generated PDB file has the same nameformat: Modelname_x64.pdb.
A 32-bit DLL and PDB has no suffix: Modelname.dll
