Search tips

apple banana
Find rows that contain at least one of the two words.

+apple +juice
Find rows that contain both words.

+apple macintosh
Find rows that contain the word 'apple', but rank rows higher if they also contain 'macintosh'.

+apple -macintosh
Find rows that contain the word 'apple' but not 'macintosh'.

+apple ~macintosh
Find rows that contain the word 'apple', but if the row also contains the word 'macintosh', rate it lower than if row does not. This is "softer" than a search for '+apple -macintosh', for which the presence of 'macintosh' causes the row not to be returned at all.

+apple +(>turnover >strudel)
Find rows that contain the words 'apple' and 'turnover', or 'apple' and 'strudel' (in any order), but rank 'apple turnover' higher than 'apple strudel'.

apple*
Find rows that contain words such as 'apple', 'apples', 'applesauce', or 'applet'.

"some words"
Find rows that contain the exact phrase 'some words' (for example, rows that contain 'some words of wisdom' but not "some noise words").

SCC Function Return Value Is Always 0 - ResponseCode or StatusCode Parameter Invalid

Last updated: 2020-01-16
Question:

Why does my SCC function return always 0 after a string parameter (e.g. ResponseCode or StatusCode) is set to a new value?

This applies for many SCC functions like the following:

In passive mode:

  • SCC_CreateChargeParameterDiscoveryReqAC_ISO
  • SCC_CreateChargeParameterDiscoveryResDC_ISO
  • SCC_CreateSessionStopRes_DIN
  • SCC_CreatePreChargeRes_DIN
  • SCC_CreateCertificateUpdateRes_DIN
  • SCC_CreateContractAuthenticationRes_ISO
  • SCC_CreateSupportedAppProtocolRes
  • SCC_CreateServiceDetailRes_DIN
  • SCC_CreatePowerDeliveryResAC_DIN
  • all other functions creating a response message (-Res)

In active mode:

  • SCC_SetEnergyTransferType
  • SCC_SetDCStatusCode
  • SCC_SetResponseCode
  • SCC_SetEVSENotification
Answer:

The allowed values of many string parameters, e.g. ResponseCode and StatusCode, are defined as enumeration in DIN SPEC 70121 or ISO 15118.  Any other (undefined) string therefore throws an error. This results in the function returning 0.

Please note that the definition of an enumeration may differ between DIN SPEC 70121 and ISO 15118.

The ResponseCode parameter is defined for the function SCC_CreateChargeParameterDiscoveryResDC_ISO as follows in (CANoe Help | CAPL Functions | Smart Charging):

The below examples 1 and 2 show undefined values for ResponseCode and StatusCode, examples 3 and 4 show values defined in DIN SPEC 70121 or ISO 15118.

Example 1:

returnValue = SCC_CreateChargeParameterDiscoveryResDC_ISO(SessionID, "FAILED_WrongEnergyTransferType", 0, "EVSE_Ready", "None", 0, limits, 321.1);

returnValue is 0, error message inside write window indicates wrong ResponseCode

SCC EVSE        [1.322560] …: Invalid enum value "FAILED_WrongEnergyTransferType" for enum "ResponseCode", value not set!

Example 2:

returnValue = SCC_CreateChargeParameterDiscoveryResDC_ISO(SessionID, "FAILED", 0, "EVSE_XXXXX", "None", 0, limits, 321.1);

returnValue is 0, error message inside write window indicates wrong StatusCode

SCC EVSE        [1.322560] …: Error writing EVSE status (DC).
Example 3:

returnValue = SCC_CreateChargeParameterDiscoveryResDC_ISO(SessionID, "OK", 0, "EVSE_Ready", "None", 0, limits, 321.1);

returnValue is 1, no error message

Example 4:

returnValue = SCC_CreateChargeParameterDiscoveryResDC_ISO(SessionID, "FAILED", 0, "EVSE_Ready", "None", 0, limits, 321.1);

returnValue is 1, no error message
