Search tips

apple banana
Find rows that contain at least one of the two words.

+apple +juice
Find rows that contain both words.

+apple macintosh
Find rows that contain the word 'apple', but rank rows higher if they also contain 'macintosh'.

+apple -macintosh
Find rows that contain the word 'apple' but not 'macintosh'.

+apple ~macintosh
Find rows that contain the word 'apple', but if the row also contains the word 'macintosh', rate it lower than if row does not. This is "softer" than a search for '+apple -macintosh', for which the presence of 'macintosh' causes the row not to be returned at all.

+apple +(>turnover >strudel)
Find rows that contain the words 'apple' and 'turnover', or 'apple' and 'strudel' (in any order), but rank 'apple turnover' higher than 'apple strudel'.

apple*
Find rows that contain words such as 'apple', 'apples', 'applesauce', or 'applet'.

"some words"
Find rows that contain the exact phrase 'some words' (for example, rows that contain 'some words of wisdom' but not "some noise words").

Support of Legacy License Model (LLM) by CANoe and CANalyzer Ends in Version 13.0

Last updated: 2020-02-14

In 2017 Vector established a New Vector License Model (NVLM) which contains two licensing programs

  • End User Licensing – EULA
  • Enterprise Licensing – ELA

This New Vector License Model allows customers more flexibly to decide where a license is stored:

  • On a Vector Network Interface
  • On a Vector Keyman (USB Dongle)
  • On the customer computer

From version on 10.0 SP4 CANoe/CANalyzer supports both licensing models (for older versions see the Software Compatibility List).

The support of the Legacy License Model is discontinued with CANoe/CANalyzer 13.0. Hardware-based licensing according to the Legacy License Model (hardware bits) and software-based licensing (based on FlexNet technology) are no longer supported in version 13.0 and beyond.

Migration to the New Vector License Model is will be triggered by the start of the updated software. You will be guided through the process by the software. Additionally, there is supporting information available like an online assistant for migration and a video tutorial.
