Search tips

apple banana
Find rows that contain at least one of the two words.

+apple +juice
Find rows that contain both words.

+apple macintosh
Find rows that contain the word 'apple', but rank rows higher if they also contain 'macintosh'.

+apple -macintosh
Find rows that contain the word 'apple' but not 'macintosh'.

+apple ~macintosh
Find rows that contain the word 'apple', but if the row also contains the word 'macintosh', rate it lower than if row does not. This is "softer" than a search for '+apple -macintosh', for which the presence of 'macintosh' causes the row not to be returned at all.

+apple +(>turnover >strudel)
Find rows that contain the words 'apple' and 'turnover', or 'apple' and 'strudel' (in any order), but rank 'apple turnover' higher than 'apple strudel'.

apple*
Find rows that contain words such as 'apple', 'apples', 'applesauce', or 'applet'.

"some words"
Find rows that contain the exact phrase 'some words' (for example, rows that contain 'some words of wisdom' but not "some noise words").

VN8900: Measurement Start is Cancelled

Last updated: 2019-07-02
Issue:
With VN8900xx, CANoe/CANalyzer is aborted with the following warning:

Measurement start is cancelled due to an invalid application channel assignment

Configurations with only a subset of application channels
assigned to a VN8900 device are not supported.

Open Vector hardware configuration dialog? Yes/No

Solution:

When using CANoe/CANalyzer together with VN89xx, it is not possible to use additional Vector hardware connected to the PC. Only the hardware connected directly to the VN89xx can be used.

To check this, please open Vector Hardware Config. Under Application | CANoe/CANalyzer only VN8900 has to be assigned.

For reference see following screenshot:

Example:

If you have configured 3 CAN channels under CANoe/CANalyzer (Configure | Options | Measurement | General | Channel Usage), these 3 CAN channels have to be assigned to the VN8900 module and devices connected to the VN8900 only.

In the below example the VN8910 is equipped with a VN8950 module and a VN1630A connected via USB to the VN8910. CAN1 and CAN2 are assigned to the piggies on the VN8950, CAN3 is assigned to the VN1630A
