Search tips

apple banana
Find rows that contain at least one of the two words.

+apple +juice
Find rows that contain both words.

+apple macintosh
Find rows that contain the word 'apple', but rank rows higher if they also contain 'macintosh'.

+apple -macintosh
Find rows that contain the word 'apple' but not 'macintosh'.

+apple ~macintosh
Find rows that contain the word 'apple', but if the row also contains the word 'macintosh', rate it lower than if row does not. This is "softer" than a search for '+apple -macintosh', for which the presence of 'macintosh' causes the row not to be returned at all.

+apple +(>turnover >strudel)
Find rows that contain the words 'apple' and 'turnover', or 'apple' and 'strudel' (in any order), but rank 'apple turnover' higher than 'apple strudel'.

Find rows that contain words such as 'apple', 'apples', 'applesauce', or 'applet'.

"some words"
Find rows that contain the exact phrase 'some words' (for example, rows that contain 'some words of wisdom' but not "some noise words").

Enable the Classic Logging Format (CANoe/CANalyzer 7.2 and Prior Versions)

Last updated: 2019-04-30

Starting with CANoe/CANalyzer 7.5, new logging file formats are introduced. The log file now contains more information which is e. g. useful for offline analysis.

If needed and for all transmission protocols except CAN FD, it is possible to enable the old logging format (from CANoe/CANalyzer 7.2 and earlier) again. To do this, please use the following instructions:

  • Please close CANoe/CANalyzer if the program is still open.
  • Select Start | More Programs | Vector CANoe or Vector CANalyzer | CAN.ini
  • Find section [CAN] and change the settings regarding your needs:

; If this flag is set, CAN messages are logged in BLF format compatible to CANoe/CANalyzer versions 7.2 and earlier
BLFFormat_Compatible_with_7_2_and_earlier = 1
; If this flag is set, CAN messages are logged in the same ASCII format as in CANoe/CANalyzer versions 7.2
ASCII_Format_7_2 = 0
