Search tips

apple banana
Find rows that contain at least one of the two words.

+apple +juice
Find rows that contain both words.

+apple macintosh
Find rows that contain the word 'apple', but rank rows higher if they also contain 'macintosh'.

+apple -macintosh
Find rows that contain the word 'apple' but not 'macintosh'.

+apple ~macintosh
Find rows that contain the word 'apple', but if the row also contains the word 'macintosh', rate it lower than if row does not. This is "softer" than a search for '+apple -macintosh', for which the presence of 'macintosh' causes the row not to be returned at all.

+apple +(>turnover >strudel)
Find rows that contain the words 'apple' and 'turnover', or 'apple' and 'strudel' (in any order), but rank 'apple turnover' higher than 'apple strudel'.

Find rows that contain words such as 'apple', 'apples', 'applesauce', or 'applet'.

"some words"
Find rows that contain the exact phrase 'some words' (for example, rows that contain 'some words of wisdom' but not "some noise words").

Last updated: 2018-09-20
How to use RedLab Meilhaus USB Adapter (alternative for LPT)?
  • Microsoft Windows XP (32 Bit) or Windows 7 (32 or 64 Bit)
  • USB connector
  1. Make sure that the RedLab device is recognized correctly in Windows.
Connect the RedLab device to your PC. Then open Meilhaus Instacal. If everything is OK, Instacal should recognize the connected device. Here you can also test the device (flash a LED, read input data). If the device is NOT recognized please make sure the Meilhaus software and drivers are correctly installed. Also make sure the device is connected properly to the PC.
  2. Delete pl_redlab.ini
Open CANoe. Under Configuration | Options | File locations you'll find the location of the CANoe application data folder. Open this folder. Please delete pl_redlab.ini, if existing.
  3. Create a new pl_redlab.ini
Create a new CANoe configuration. Under:
    Configuration | Options | Extensions | I/O Device Driver
activate pl_redlab.dll. After closing this dialog, a new pl_redlab.ini will be created in the CANoe application data folder.
  4. Check if pl_redlab.ini is valid
Open the newly created pl_redlab.ini. Make sure that it reflects the connected device's capabilities and the settings made in Instacal.

After that steps, the device should work correctly.
