Search tips

apple banana
Find rows that contain at least one of the two words.

+apple +juice
Find rows that contain both words.

+apple macintosh
Find rows that contain the word 'apple', but rank rows higher if they also contain 'macintosh'.

+apple -macintosh
Find rows that contain the word 'apple' but not 'macintosh'.

+apple ~macintosh
Find rows that contain the word 'apple', but if the row also contains the word 'macintosh', rate it lower than if row does not. This is "softer" than a search for '+apple -macintosh', for which the presence of 'macintosh' causes the row not to be returned at all.

+apple +(>turnover >strudel)
Find rows that contain the words 'apple' and 'turnover', or 'apple' and 'strudel' (in any order), but rank 'apple turnover' higher than 'apple strudel'.

Find rows that contain words such as 'apple', 'apples', 'applesauce', or 'applet'.

"some words"
Find rows that contain the exact phrase 'some words' (for example, rows that contain 'some words of wisdom' but not "some noise words").

Creating a GPS Device

Last updated: 2018-08-21
How to create a GPS device?
These settings apply only to devices that communicate with the PC via a RS232 or USB interface. GPS receivers that transmit data over the CAN bus are configured as CAN device.

  1. Open the Device Configuration, and create the new GPS device with Device | New…
  2. Enter a name for the device.
  3. Choose "GPS" for driver type. To finish press [OK].

  4. To determine which COM port the GPS receiver currently occupies, go to Computer Management and select Device Manager | Ports (COM and LPT).
  5. Set the COM port that you determined. For a USB connection, the baud rate should be set to 4800 baud.
  6. Make sure that the "Fix" status is reached and the coordinates are determined. The "Fix" status must be displayed before measurements can be taken.
  7. To close the GPS driver dialog please click [OK].

Your GPS receiver is now completely configured for CANape and ready for use.
