Search tips

apple banana
Find rows that contain at least one of the two words.

+apple +juice
Find rows that contain both words.

+apple macintosh
Find rows that contain the word 'apple', but rank rows higher if they also contain 'macintosh'.

+apple -macintosh
Find rows that contain the word 'apple' but not 'macintosh'.

+apple ~macintosh
Find rows that contain the word 'apple', but if the row also contains the word 'macintosh', rate it lower than if row does not. This is "softer" than a search for '+apple -macintosh', for which the presence of 'macintosh' causes the row not to be returned at all.

+apple +(>turnover >strudel)
Find rows that contain the words 'apple' and 'turnover', or 'apple' and 'strudel' (in any order), but rank 'apple turnover' higher than 'apple strudel'.

apple*
Find rows that contain words such as 'apple', 'apples', 'applesauce', or 'applet'.

"some words"
Find rows that contain the exact phrase 'some words' (for example, rows that contain 'some words of wisdom' but not "some noise words").

Preview of Test Execution Tree

Last updated: 2018-11-15
Question:
I would like to be able to see the complete test tree structure including the test cases from Test Table Editor and the ones for Test Diagram Editor (the structure of the Test Execution Tree as in CANoe), so that I get an overview of all test cases.
Answer:

The complete Test Execution Tree as displayed in CANoe can’t be displayed in vTESTstudio. The difficulty with this "preview" is that the test tree structure may dependent on variant settings. So it could not be a read-only preview, but it would have to be possible to select the values for the different variant properties.

If a test unit contains multiple files that define a test execution tree (e.g. Test Table files and Test Diagram files), the order of the overall test execution tree in CANoe is based on the alphabetical order of the corresponding file names. I.e. the order of the single execution trees is the same as the order of the files in the Project View of the vTESTstudio project.

Note:
Load the test unit in CANoe and check display of the Test Execution Tree.
