Search tips

apple banana
Find rows that contain at least one of the two words.

+apple +juice
Find rows that contain both words.

+apple macintosh
Find rows that contain the word 'apple', but rank rows higher if they also contain 'macintosh'.

+apple -macintosh
Find rows that contain the word 'apple' but not 'macintosh'.

+apple ~macintosh
Find rows that contain the word 'apple', but if the row also contains the word 'macintosh', rate it lower than if row does not. This is "softer" than a search for '+apple -macintosh', for which the presence of 'macintosh' causes the row not to be returned at all.

+apple +(>turnover >strudel)
Find rows that contain the words 'apple' and 'turnover', or 'apple' and 'strudel' (in any order), but rank 'apple turnover' higher than 'apple strudel'.

Find rows that contain words such as 'apple', 'apples', 'applesauce', or 'applet'.

"some words"
Find rows that contain the exact phrase 'some words' (for example, rows that contain 'some words of wisdom' but not "some noise words").

Connection Designer – Cannot Find Resource Error from XAML

Last updated: 2019-06-18

When simultaneously working with Forms and CML Components in Visual Studio 2010, opening the Application.adl file with the connection designer could lead to the following error message which is displayed in the Error List window of Visual Studio.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Use Visual Studio 2010 with vADASdeveloper
  2. Open ADL File, close it
  3. Open Form e.g. MainForm
  4. Open a CML component e.g. MDF Player
  5. Open ADL

The component 'Baselabs.Design.UI.ConnectionDesigner.Views.ConnectionDesignerHost' does not have a resource identified by the URI '/Baselabs.Design.UI; component/connectiondesigner/views/connectiondesignerhost.xaml'.

The following workaround is available:

  1. Close all open files in Visual Studio 2010
  2. Close your Visual Studio instance
  3. Open Visual Studio 2010
  4. Open the Visual Studio Solution
  5. Open the Application.adl File
  6. The connection designer displays the ADL File without any errors
