CANdelaStudio Does Not Start, No Log Stored and No Error Displayed

Issue: CANdelaStudio does not start, no log stored and no error displayed.
Background:
A look at the Windows Event Viewer shows the following:
Problem signature:
  Problem Event Name:    BEX
  Application Name:         CANdelaStudio.exe
  Application Version:       8.5.2100.0
  Application Timestamp:  586a48d9
  Fault Module Name:       WS2_32.dll_unloaded
 
Solution:

This error is caused by subscribing to CEIP and Error Reporting of Microsoft Windows 7 and the problem disappears as soon as the reporting has been unsubscribed like following:
To view or change the Windows CEIP setting on a computer running Windows 7

  1. Click Start, select Control Panel, and click the Action Center.
  2. In the left pane, click Change Action Center settings.
  3. Under Related settings, click Customer Experience Improvement Program settings.
  4. If you want to turn off the Windows CEIP, select No, I don't want to participate in the program, and then click Save Changes.
