Ethernet Vector Network Driver with CANoe
With CANoe/CANalyzer ≥ 10.0 SP2 the Ethernet Vector Network Driver also called Option Ethernet Driver is no longer automatically installed with the setup of the option Ethernet. The user must install the Ethernet Vector Network Driver manually, if a build-in third-party Ethernet interface of a computer is used.
To install the Network Driver, select Windows Network Adapter in the combo box of the Network Hardware Configuration in CANoe and click the Install button below the combo box:
To update an already installed Network Driver, select the Network interface in the combo box. The currently installed and the available driver versions are shown. The driver will be updated by clicking the Update button below the combo box.
After installation the built-in Ethernet interfaces are shown in the Network Hardware Configuration dialog in CANoe/CANalyzer and the system tray contains the NetIsolator.
- If you use a CANoe 10.0 version < SP2, then the Install Vector Network Driver cannot be seen in the combo box. In this case, please first install the latest CANoe 10.0 Service Pack.
- In case a VN5610(A) or VN5640 is used with CANoe/CANalyzer.Ethernet, the Ethernet Vector Network Driver is not required.
