Why do I get a Standalone Manger error message stating that the version of the standalone configuration file does not match the CANoe/CANalyzer version on the device?
“Download of the file ….rtcfg failed due to the following reasons: The version of the standalone configuration file does not match the CANoe/CANalyzer version on the device. …“
The *.RTENV (Real Time ENVironment, the CANoe software installed on the VN8900) must match exactly the to be loaded *.RTCFG (Real Time ConFiGuration) major and minor version (included service pack).
Otherwise, the above error message may occur – stating that the version of the standalone configuration file does not match the CANoe/CANalyzer version on the device.
To ensure proper functionality, a compatible RTENV for the corresponding RTCFG should be used. This way the correct DLLs (e.g. CAPL DLL, Interaction Layer modeling librarys, etc.) are available in the CANoe software version.
Therefore it is highly recommended that the CANoe installation that creates the RTCGF also creates a RTENV and these are used together.
The compatible RTENV can be exported from the CANoe version of the computer that created the configuration (or a compatible CANoe installation).
If you have a target device (e.g. VN89xx) available use the Vector Platform Manager (option 1) to create a RTENV. In other cases use the Standalone Manager (option 2) for this task.
Option 1 (Vector Platform Manager):
Option 2 (Standalone Manager):
