Merging of MDF Files

Question:
How can I merge MDF files?
Answer:
With CANape/vSignalyzer script function "MergeMeasurementFiles".

Example:
MergeMeasurementFiles("result.mdf", 19, 0.1, 0, "C:\\files\\A*.mdf", "D:\\files\\A*.mdf");

The example creates a file result.mdf by merging all files matching A*.mdf in folders C:\files and D:\files. It overwrites the destination file if it already exists. Concatenation mode is used with a void time of 100 ms (0.1 sec). Debug logging is activated.

Note:
if there are problems, debug logging can be activated by Options parameter (add 16 to options).

Debug logging will write a file called XXX_MDFMERGE_log.txt in the same directory as the output file where XXX is the base name of the output file. If no output file is specified (""), then the file simply is called MDFMERGE_log.txt and it will be written to the directory of MDFmerge.dll.
For more details please refer to CANape syntax help.

With Command-line tool "CallConverter.exe" using "MdfMerge.DLL" as converter

Example:
CallConverter –C:MdfMerge.dll –O:13 –T1:0.1 C:\files\A*.mdf;D:\files\A*.mdf D:\result.mdf

The example creates a file result.mdf by merging all files matching A*.mdf in folders C:\files and D:\files. It overwrites the destination file if it already exists. Concatenation mode is used with a void time of 100 ms (0.1 sec). Debug logging is activated.

Note:
if there are problems, debug logging can be activated by Options parameter (add 16 to options. Attention, options are given in hexadecimal writing!).

The naming of the debug log file follows the same rules as for 1.

More information can be found in CANape/vSignalyzer Online help, search in index for MdfMerge.DLL or CallConverter.
